Crai Activity Park is situated in the former mining town of Newbridge in the South East Wales valleys which is famous for its picturesque views, and of course male voice choirs! It is also home to Newbridge Memorial Hall which featured on the BBC programme ‘Restoration’.
Set in approximately seven acres of open countryside which looks over the Cilonydd mountain the Park is an ideal site for campers who wish to do their own thing, or go out and about visiting local attractions such as Big Pit National Coal Museum, Cwmcarn Forest Drive and Llancaiach Fawr Manor House. A fifteen minute walk or a three minute car journey will take you into the centre of Newbridge which hosts a number of shops including a newsagents, chemist and a small supermarket.
Our campsite is run by a small group of volunteers made up of District Commissioners, Scout Leaders, Assistants etc whom have been involved in Scouting both past and present.
